Review:
I never really thought about watching this drama because I didn’t know who Lee Sun Kyun was but I decided to give it a shot (BEST. DECISION. EVER.) As you can tell from the title, this drama revolves around marriages and affairs. I cannot emphasize enough how much I loved this drama. They were spot on with the depiction of the issues that real life couples face. Everything from happiness, trust, and pain; this drama displays the whole spectrum of emotions. Even though I had never experienced marriage or affairs, this drama was still very relatable. I think anyone can empathize with the pain of giving someone your all and finding out they deeply hurt you. Watching this drama gave an amazing perspective on looking at the string of events from a third party perspective. It makes you think, had you been in that situation, wouldn’t you be acting the same way? And it also makes you think, is this the best way to act in this situation?

I also loved that this drama touched upon communication. Communication, I would argue, is the single most important factor in a relationship. ***SPOILER ALERT*** My favorite part from this drama was that Song Ji Hyo’s reason was “just because”. She had a smile on her face every day while draining herself out every day. She was neither happy nor unhappy. All she really needed was one word of care that made her tip. It makes you think about the relationships in your life (lover or not), reassess how you’re living your life, and more importantly realize how you feel about your life. ***END SPOILER ALERT***

On a side note, I was absolutely in love with Lee Sang Yeob and BoA’s story line. It provided a cute side story that complimented the very mature relationship of Lee Sun Kyun and Song Ji Hyo. Another side note, Kim Kang Hoon (their son) IS SOOOOOO CUTEEE!!!

Overall, PLEASE WATCH THIS DRAMAAA. It’s only 12 episodes, meaning it’s not dragged out! It’ll be worth your time!

Overall Thoughts:
Mature love story
Very real and relatable
Happy ending
Not many kissing scenes

This was hands down one of my favorite places in Kyoto. It was really close to the Bamboo Grove so I would definitely recommend swinging by if you guys have the chance! There is a hike up which took around 20 minutes (there are also a couple of pitstops with AC). My favorite part was that the Macaques weren’t caged up and we were the ones caged up! You get to buy mini bags of peanuts and apples for 100¥ each and you can only feed them when you’re in the mini house. I was able to see a mom and baby when I was feeding but whenever I tried to feel the baby, the mom would steal the food LOL T_T. I was really close one time but the baby grabbed my finger instead of the peanut (I think they don’t know how to grab yet ☹ )

I went around 9:00 AM – 9:30 AM and I think around 30 minutes later, they had feeding time where the workers played music and distributed food to all the Macaques. From many reviews I read, I heard it’s best to visit in the morning (including the Bamboo Grove) to avoid a big crowd. When I went, there was also a good amount of people there. By the way, some important things to remember is you’re not supposed to point cameras directly at them and look into their eyes directly because it may scare them!

I spent around an hour there but I think you can definitely spend less time there if you’re in a rush (just remember to allocate time to hike up and down)! There’s also some little shops outside where they sold souvenirs and snacks. Overall, I would definitely recommend swinging by if you’re able to!

They also sold these super cute magnets for around 500¥ (I think!)

I have to say, one of the better lobster rolls I’ve ever had! Their portions are pretty small. However, if you don’t eat too much, it can be filling. The bread is not buttery and toasted on the outside and is pretty doughy. I actually prefer my lobster rolls to have a more buttery and toasted outside but I still really enjoyed eating this lobster roll. I think what made it so good was that the lobster was a little shredded with a few big chunks which made the flavor seep in much better.

The New England Clam Chowder was pretty good! I think they used a seaweed oil on top and they also had a huge pork piece inside. The clam chowder also wasn’t extremely thick and wasn’t too thin either, it was a nice in between!

We got the oysters and they were really fresh! The sides we got were the tabasco ice and the marinara sauce. I liked the marinara but the tabasco ice was something new. It was spicy so be careful with how much you use! However, I don’t think it goes that well with the oysters so I just stuck with the typical lemon and marinara!

The inside was really cute and casual. The seats and benches and they have the oyster bar out in the open. It seemed very beach-esque and was very chill. The service was really nice, everybody was very hyper and friendly! The display of the food was also very cute. The lobster roll was served on a wooden type of plate that made it very unique and picture worthy hehe.

Wait
So this restaurant is actually pretty popular so the first day we went around 2-3 PM and the line was way out the door. The second day we tried again but we went at 10:15 AM since they open at 11AM. We were actually like 3rd – 4th in line because some people were already waiting. By the time they opened, I think the line wrapped along the street. However it was weird because when we left around 12 PM, there was no line. They also don’t take reservations so I suggest going early or putting your name down first if you’re ok with waiting.

Overall, I think this is one of the better restaurants in Portland so if you’re in the area, I would definitely recommend trying it!

Review:
I’m not sure if it’s because this drama was way hyped up but I was just slightly disappointed upon finishing this drama because I expected to be in love with it 😦 . I love Park Shin Hye and Lee Sung Kyung and they were amazing, but the reason for the 7/10 is because I felt like there wasn’t much going on plus I was super excited for it (my fault LOL). I’m also more into dramas that show more conflict and character development (and love scenes muahahhah).

There’s no real battle for love because the two already knew they loved each other and would be together. I must say though, they were extremely cute and I loved watching their relationship – it was more of a mature kind of love story. The majority of the plot is watching the development of their career and relationships in the hospital. It also included a lot of exposure to the patients’ stories and lives. I don’t think they were any major major issues so this is a relatively easy going drama to watch. If you’re into more relaxed, mature, kind of relationship and hearing small stories about hardships etc, you will really like this drama. I also really liked the cast so that’s also a plus!

Overall Thoughts:
Mature love story
Light hearted
Happy ending
Easy going

Review:
I’m sorry to those who really loved this drama :c . I actually had to give this drama 2 tries. The 1st time I watched, I only got through 1/4 of it and didn’t finish it. The second time I watched it, I got through everything. I really like Jung Eunji and she’s an amazing artist (actually Apink is one of my favorite groups!) but I was not too crazy about this drama. The 1st time I watched this drama, you have to get used to the drama switching back and forth between the past and present. This whole drama is based on a class reunion where they retell their story and eventually finishes with Jung Eunji’s final true love. I think the reason I couldn’t really get into it was because there wasn’t much excitement in each episode. This drama is more of an easy going, follow the lives of these characters kind of drama. There won’t be much conflict and the relationships showcase more of the young realistic teenage love aspects.

Overall, I think this drama will be for you if you like easy going dramas and rom coms. There also isn’t much drama that actually happens so if you don’t like extremely intense shows, this is also a great option!

Feel free to start an open discussion about this drama in the comments below ^_^ I’d love to discuss the plot, delve deeper into the storyline, etc!

Review:
Ugh this drama seriously gave me so many feels. This drama will definitely take you on an emotional rollercoaster. I honestly really loved all the characters. They each added something unique to the drama. I really liked the slow and subtle build of Gong Yoo and Kim Go Eun’s relationship. It wasn’t like they suddenly professed their love etc but it built up each episode and you saw them start to care for each other more and more. The bromance between Gong Yoo, Lee Dong Wook, and Yook Sung Jae was also so cute and their interactions were so funny. I’ve actually always liked Yoo In Na, especially her drama Queen In Hyun’s Man (should def check that out!). Her character in Goblin was extremely bubbly and she was soooo funny. I have to admit, there were a few points in the drama that were a bit confusing but I’m not even mad because of the way everything turned out.

Overall, I thought this drama was really unique and brought a great twist to your average love story. If you’re into fantasy, rom coms, and stories with emotional depth, I think you should definitely watch this! I really liked that they shared the deceased’s stories each time the Grim Reaper had to send them someone off. Rather than feeling like fillers, they felt like reminders to cherish who you have in your life and insight on real life situations people go through.

***SPOILER ALERT***
I think upon starting this drama, we already have an expectation that the ending for the love story between a higher being and a human…wouldn’t exactly work out. But do not fear, couples do end up together! The one thing I was confused about was why the Goblin was able to return but as long as he did, I’m all for it! The Grim Reaper and Yoo In Na also end up together and with a better life than they would’ve had if they stayed together. I just wish they were given more kiss scenes muahhaha >:) .

I was a little disappointed in the lobster roll. It tasted fresh and were in big chunks but there’s not much added flavor. I think if you like the simple taste of the lobster, you will like it! It also had a big piece of lettuce in the bun which I think didn’t add much to the overall roll; tbh I think I would’ve preferred if it wasn’t added. The bun was toasted, buttery, and not salty. I have to say though, I loved how salty the fries were! They also had these really cool drinks. My favorite one was the blueberry soda drink ($3 for soft drinks)!

Lobster Roll ~$19

Wait
I think part of the reason I was a little disappointed was because the wait for the roll was 40 minutes (we went around 5PM). It was also a pain to get seats so I was expecting some really bomb lobster roll haha.

AtmosphereDisplay, Seating, and Service
The atmosphere was very casual and it was kind of loud since there were so many people. They had these cute lobster ringers to let you know when the food was ready. The line itself would be long, short, and sometimes had no line at all! It was extremely hard to get seats since the inside of the actual shop only like 4-5 tables. But I think there’s a separate part of the shop where you can order outside and wander around the tents set up (right side of the picture below). We didn’t go in so I’m not sure how that part looked like. The place you get your food is right in front of the water (pictured below) so its very picture-eque hehe.

Review:

I really wanted to watch this because I love both Seo In Guk and Jang Na Ra. I especially liked Seo In Guk in Shopping King Louie (read my review here) and Jang Na Ra in Fated to Love You (read my review here). I actually watched half of this drama the 1st time and didn’t finish because I found it pretty confusing. Nonetheless, I finished the second time!

This drama has a bit of a dark side and is sometimes pretty creepy because of the murders/psychological issues. Throughout this drama there’s an overarching case they are trying to solve but also has smaller crime cases on the side. The thriller aspect of this drama kept it really interesting. However, the reason I didn’t like this drama was because I didn’t feel like there was much chemistry between Seo In Guk and Jang Na Ra. Maybe it’s because I’m so used to her character in Fated to Love You, I wasn’t really able to get into her character in this drama :(. I also felt like they didn’t have enough interaction to really justify how they felt for each other. Nonetheless, they did a really good job playing out their parts and this drama had a really interesting plot. There are also not many romantic scenes and mushy gushy stuff. If you’re into thrillers, action, crime scenes, and psychological dramas, I think you will enjoy this!

Review:
Let me just start out by saying…I watched this drama 3 times… LOLL. That is how much I loved it. I really liked Jang Hyuk from Secret Garden LOL. He never disappoints with bringing comedy into his roles and he is an amazingggg actor. His laugh in this drama is seriously……something….LOL. The reason I loved this drama so much was because of their chemistry. Jang Na Ra is seriously so cute and she played her role extremely well. She has a knack for infecting people with the tear bug 😦 . There are definitely many parts of this drama that will make you cry but also a ton of parts that also make you very happy. I found myself smiling and laughing unconsciously! There are also many cringe-worthy parts (K.I.double.S. LOOOL). I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of this drama :’)

I loved the OSTs and the storyline. Their relationship grew at a nice pace and the way Jang Hyuk slowly got sucked into her charm was the cutest thing. You get to see him slowly attend to her more and more. BTW this drama also has some adult rated things (like his constant uncontrolled hormones LOL). Normally, I like dramas that have an interesting plot but somehow just watching the two grow together was more than enough to make me happy. I think if you’re into cute rom coms, this is definitely for you! This drama will make you smile, cry, and laugh many many times. Please give this drama a shot! ^_^

Review:
I normally don’t do reviews on shows but I just wanted to express how much I loved this show! I watched snippets of the 1st season but I never really got into it as much as I did with the 2nd season. I think it partly has to deal with just being interested in the cast of the 2nd season more (I really like Hong Jin Young hehe). In this season, you really get to feel the bond of the girls and I’m really hoping for a season 3 :c . They are all so good at what they do individually and their personalities mesh together so well. I also liked that they bonded so well with their instructors! Although this is a variety show, you get to hear the sister’s personal stories and they really pulls on your heartstrings. Hong Jin Young is so bubbly and I love her personality. But I came to really love Hong Jin Kyung and Kang Ye Won through this. Hong Jin Kyung is just so funny even when she isn’t trying to be and she’s not afraid to wear anything LOL. She can also be very sentimental when she needs to be. Kang Ye Won…how do I even begin…LOL. I actually first discovered her when she was in Real Men and even then…she made me ball every time. How does she spew something touching each time T_T. Everything she says somehow just makes me cry LOL.

Overall, I think this series was really refreshing. It was like a music show and variety show had a baby. The reason I gave this a 9 stars was because sometimes..just sometimes I felt like some parts were a little boring. You can’t really expect 100% of this to be interesting or funny at every point in the series so I’m ok with this! Don’t get me wrong though, I really really liked this series and there were many funny and emotional parts. I think its definitely worth watching. I also really liked the songs they produced and I will forever root for them ^_^

Overall Thoughts:
Funny and emotional variety/music show
Great chemistry
Amazing cast
